Many employees believe that non-compete agreements are not enforceable, yet Florida Courts regularly enforce non-compete agreements. In fact, the Washington Post recently reported that 1 in 4 workers have signed such agreements in their lifetime, and 12.3 percent are bound by one right now.

It is easy to think that a non-compete will never apply to you or your company, but if you are not careful you can end up in a situation where you are unprepared or caught off-guard. The best way to avoid this is to learn about non-compete’s beforehand and what makes them enforceable in Florida.
