Trial Against Paulina Rubio Will Start in June

Thursday 22 May 2014

This week, El Nuevo Herald wrote about the date being set in our trial for the case involving Paulina Rubio, who is being sued for her failure to appear at a concert in Colombia in 2010. The process has been postponed several times, but this week Judge Abby Cynamon announced that the trial will begin the week of June 2 and should last five to seven days.

The plaintiffs in this case are concert promoter Carlos Gutierrez, his company CMG and Colombian event companies Fondo and CVM.  The lawsuit we filed claims that Rubio acted unprofessionally in her contractual commitment to do the concert, which was sponsored by the Colombian government to celebrate the election of Colombian president Juan Manuel Santos.

Rubio did not attend the hearing.  I agreed to begin the trial during the first week of June and I will have four witnesses traveling from Colombia.  To read this full article visit: http://www.elnuevoherald.com/2014/05/15/1748826/paulina-rubio-dira-si-esta-lista.html.
